The name refers to the address at which the clone resides on a 96-well microtiter plate. All clones in a library are arrayed among a consecutive range of alphanumerically named plates. For example, the NIA 15K rearray is arrayed to plates H3001 to H3159. The clone is addressed according to the well location of the plate on which the clone is arrayed. So, the clone name H3001A01 refers to the clone at row A column 1 on plate H3001.
The name of the sequence is the clone name with a -3 or -5 attached to indicate 3’ or 5’ sequencing, respectively. Hence, H3001A01-3 is the 3’ sequence of the clone H3001A01.
Name given to the clone once it was genetically mapped on the Jackson Lab Backcross Panel (http://www.jax.org/). These names indicate the chromosome to which the clone was mapped as "D" and the chromosome number, followed by a marker number (containing the strings "Wsu" or "Ertd") For example, D17Wsu15e.
Accession number given to the sequence submitted to GenBank dbest.
